Baking bread made easy – with no flour or yeast

Freshly baked bread brightens our morning, especially with tasty sweet and savoury spreads. But it’s also a winner with salad at lunch and soup at dinner – or for a sandwich on the go. Baking your own bread is back on-trend these days. In addition to classic varieties like wheat, brown and rye breads, healthy, wholefood breads are huge right now.

Superfood bread free from flour and yeast

With our Favourite Carrot and Nut Bread, you can easily bake your own nutritious, vegan, gluten-free bread – that tastes great, too. Our bread mix is completely free from flour and yeast and supplies valuable proteins, fibre, minerals and healthy fats. As well as gluten-free wholegrain oat flakes, this delicious bread is packed with sunflower seeds, linseed, hazelnuts and finely grated carrot for extra moisture.

And it’s easy to make – simply pour in boiling water, give it a stir, and you’re good to go. No need for all that kneading!

What you’ll need:

  • 500 ml boiling water
  • A little margarine for the baking tin

Preparation

  1. Put the bread mix and water in a mixing bowl and mix thoroughly with a spatula.
  2. Leave the dough to soak for 30 minutes and preheat a conventional oven (top and bottom heat) to 180°C (fan oven 160°C).
  3. Grease a loaf tin (approx. 25 cm), add the dough and press gently.
  4. Bake
    bread on the middle shelf of a preheated oven for around 50 to 60
    minutes. Then remove from the tin straight away and leave on a wire rack
    to cool.

Tip: You can also bake this bread
without a baking tin. After soaking, shape the dough into a loaf or
rolls and place on a baking tray lined with baking paper. You can even
spread the dough across the entire tray and cut it into bars. Baking
time for bread rolls and bars is reduced to around 30 minutes.
