Gluten-free White Bread

Freshly baked bread is simply marvellous. When the bread goes into the oven, the whole house smells incredible!

Those who suffer from gluten intolerance or coeliac disease know that it isn’t that easy to bake delicious, light and moist bread. But with our white bread, baking your own gluten-free bread is nice and simple. In just a few steps, you can whip up fresh bread that the whole family will enjoy. It’s also a great base for a moist wholegrain loaf. The bread tastes as if it’s fresh from the bakery and it’s completely gluten-free.

What else you’ll need

For the dough:

  • 450 ml cold water
  • 50 ml cooking oil

For the baking tin:

  • A little margarine

Preparation

Make the dough

  1. Preheat a conventional oven to around 200 °C (fan approx. 180 °C) and grease a loaf tin (25 cm).
  2. Now put the baking mix and yeast in a mixing bowl and mix with a tablespoon. Also add the cold water and cooking oil using this method and knead with a hand mixer (dough hook) briefly on the lowest setting, then on the highest setting for around 3 minutes.

Leave bread to rise

  1. As the dough is relatively sticky, you should place it in the baking tray with a moist spatula and smooth it out and/or press on it a little. Leave to rise in a warm place for around 45 minutes until the dough has visibly increased in size.

Bake

  1. Once the dough has risen, carefully spread a little water on the surface of the bread and bake on a wire rack in the bottom third of the oven. After baking, remove the bread from the tray and place on a wire rack to cool.

(starch, rice flour, flavour chickpea flour, thickeners (guar gum, hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose), linseed meal, sugar, salt, dried gluten-free sour dough (corn milled products, corn starch, )), dry yeast (yeast, emulsifier sorbitan monostearate).
