Organic Fruit Tart Dough

When the sun’s in the sky, everyone has a spring in their step. In summer, we love to invite friends and family round to our gardens and balconies to enjoy a freshly baked cake in the sun. But when the weather’s this warm, of course, you don’t want to serve any heavy layer cakes. It’s got to be something light, airy, and, most of all, fruity.

A delicious fruit tart is just the thing – fresh fruit with a base that’s sweet and light. It’s lovely and refreshing, ideally straight from the fridge. With a wide range of potential fruit combinations, it always tastes different.

But spending hours in the kitchen in the heat? Not with our perfect fruit tart. The ingredients come from controlled organic farming and form the basis for a well-balanced dough. Simply mix them, add them to the baking tin, go back to the garden and wait – and you’re done!


What else you’ll need

For the fruit tart dough:

  • 125 g soft margarine or butter
  • 2 medium eggs
  • a little wheat flour for the baking tin


Make the dough

  1. Preheat a conventional oven to around 170 °C (fan approx. 150 °C).
  2. Put the baking mix, soft butter or margarine and eggs into a mixing bowl and blend with an electric hand mixer (whisk) briefly on the lowest setting first of all, then on the highest setting for around 3 minutes, until smooth.


  1. To stop the dough from sticking to the tin, the desired fruit tart baking dish (the dough covers 28 cm) should be greased and dusted with flour.
  2. Then add the dough and smooth out.
  3. Bake the fruit tart base on the middle shelf of the preheated oven. Use a wooden skewer to check that the base is ready.

Cool and decorate

  1. After baking, the base should be left in the tray for around 5 minutes before it is turned out onto a wire rack lined with baking paper and can be left to cool.
  2. Once the base has cooled, it can be topped with fruit as desired and covered in tart glaze.
