Polak Almond Dessert

Polak’s almond dessert is a real German classic, hailing from the town of Weener in Lower Saxony.

tastes simply heavenly. Polak’s almond dessert is quick and easy to make
with milk. It is best served cold and turned out as a sophisticated
dessert, providing you can resist temptation long enough.


What else you’ll need

  • 500 ml (1/2 l) milk (1.5% fat)
  • 40 g (2 tbsp) sugar


  1. Set aside around 6 tablespoons of the 500 ml (1/2 l) milk and
    mix with the dessert powder and around 2 heaped tablespoons of sugar (40
  2. Bring the rest of the milk to the boil. Remove the milk
    from the hob, add the mixed powder and bring to the boil properly again,
    stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the dessert into dessert glasses or a glass bowl and chill.

To turn out: Pour the dessert into a mould rinsed with clean water, chill and turn out when fully cooled.
