Raspberry-flavoured Red Berry Compote

Do your eyes light up when you hear the word ‘compote’, too?

This German speciality tastes great as a fruity dessert or a sweet main course – ideally with fresh berries. It’s good that our red berry compote is so easy to make: simply stir the powder into boiling water, chill, add fresh fruit on top and you’re good to go!

What else you’ll need

  • 500 ml (1/2 l) water
  • 75 g (6 tbsp) sugar

Preparation

  1. First of all, set aside around 6 tbsp of the 500 ml (1/2 l) water and mix with the dessert powder and sugar.
  2. Bring the remaining water to the boil in a pot. Then remove the water from the hob, add the mixed powder and return to the boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Pour the red berry compote into a glass bowl or dessert glasses and leave to cool.
