Encores

You’ll also need:

For the dough:

  • 125 g soft butter
  • 1 egg (medium)
  • A little flour for rolling out

Preparation

Prepare the dough:

  1. Put the baking mix, butter and egg in a mixing bowl. Use an electric hand mixer (dough hook) on a medium setting to make into big rough crumbs. Then knead into a smooth dough with your hands and shape into a ball.
  2. Leave the dough to rest in the fridge for around 30 minutes. Cooling the dough for longer makes it easier to roll out. If the dough is too hard, just give it a quick knead through on a floury surface.

Cut out the biscuits and bake:

  1. Roll out the dough to 3-5 mm thin on a floury surface, cut out shapes using cookie cutters and place them on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
  2. Bake on the middle shelf of a pre-heated oven. The baking time may vary depending on the size and thickness of the biscuits.

Decorate:

  1. Place the sachet of glaze in boiling hot water and leave to soak for approx. 10 minutes. Knead the glaze bag briefly and cut off a corner.
  2. Once cooled, decorate the biscuits with the glaze and quickly sprinkle with nonpareils before the glaze sets.
