Encores

What else you’ll need:

For the dough:

  • 3 eggs (medium)
  • 170 ml cooking oil
  • 150 ml water

For the glaze:

  • 30 ml (approx. 3 tbsp) lukewarm water

For the baking tray:

  • A little grease and wheat flour

Preparation

Make the dough

  1. Preheat the oven (top and bottom heat) to 180°C (fan approx. 160°C).
  2. Put the baking mix, three eggs, 170 ml cooking oil and 150 ml water in a mixing bowl and mix it using the electric hand mixer (whisk) briefly on the lowest setting at first. Then, mix on the highest setting for around three minutes, until creamy.

Colour and bake the dough

  1. Now split the dough into three equal-sized portions and put in different bowls. Mix the green colour mix into one part of the dough, and the blue colour mix into a second part of the dough.
  2. The three doughs can then be alternated on a greased baking tray dusted with flour (30 × 40 cm) using tablespoons.
  3. Bake the cake on the middle shelf of the preheated oven for 25 to 30 minutes and then leave to cool on the baking tray.

Decoration

  1. Once the cake has cooled, the glaze mixture can be put in a bowl and mixed with lukewarm water until smooth. If the glaze mixture is too firm, simply add a few more drops of water.
  2. Then spread the glaze on the cake with a table knife or teaspoon. Scatter the sugar sprinkles on the glaze while still moist.
